Abstract
THE MATERIAL RECOMMENDED IS KEVLAR, A SYNTHETIC DEVELOPED BY DUPONT. INFORMATION IS PRESENTED ON BALLISTICS TESTS, PENETRATION TESTS, AND WEARABILITY EXPERIMENTS THAT WERE CONDUCTED BOTH PRIOR TO AND AFTER THE SELECTION OF KEVLAR AS THE OPTIMUM LIGHTWEIGHT BODY ARMOR MATERIAL.
