THIS ARTICLE RECOMMENDS THE USE OF FINGERPRINT CAMERAS FOR PHOTOGRAPHING TOOLMARKS AND THE USE OF CELLULOSE ACETATE BUTYRATE FOR CASTING THEM.
Abstract

CAMERA POSITION AND SETTINGS OF EXPOSURE AND APERTURE ARE DISCUSSED. THE CASTING MATERIAL IS RECOMMENDED BECAUSE OF ITS PROPERTIES OF MELTING WHEN HEAT IS APPLIED AND SETTING QUICKLY. THE VALUE OF TOOLMARK EVIDENCE IS STRESSED.
