AN EVALUATION, BASED ON A SURVEY OF PARTICIPANTS, OF A SERIES OF WORKSHOPS SPONSORED BY THE OFFICE OF TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER OF THE NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF LAW ENFORCEMENT AND CRIMINAL JUSTICE.
Abstract
THE STUDY FINDINGS INDICATE THAT THE OBJECTIVES OF THE WORKSHOPS - TO ENCOURAGE AND ASSIST JURISDICTIONS TO ADOPT ALL OR PORTIONS OF A SPECIFIC EXEMPLARY PROJECT OR CRIMINAL JUSTICE CONCEPT - HAD BEEN ACCOMPLISHED. THE WORKSHOP ATTENDEES WERE QUITE POSITIVE TOWARDS THE WORKSHOPS AND THE MATERIAL DISTRIBUTED AT THE WORKSHOPS. THEY PROVIDED A NUMBER OF SUGGESTIONS FOR HOW TO IMPROVE FUTURE WORKSHOPS AND DOCUMENTS DEVELOPED FOR USE AT WORKSHOPS. IN ADDITION, A NUMBER OF WORKSHOP FOLLOW-ON ACTIVITIES WERE SUGGESTED.
