THIS REPORT DOCUMENTS EFFORTS TO IMPLEMENT A SET OF APPROPRIATE, ACCEPTABLE, AND BROADLY SUPPORTED STATE STANDARDS AND GOALS BASED ON THE 494 STANDARDS AND RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE NATIONAL ADVISORY COMMISSION.
Abstract
THE GOALS, OBJECTIVES, AND STRATEGIES RECOMMENDED BY THE STANDARDS AND GOALS TASK FORCE ARE PRESENTED ALONG WITH THE KEY KANSAS STATUTES RELATED TO EACH OF THE RECOMMENDED GOALS, OBJECTIVES, AND STRATEGIES. THE DEGREE TO WHICH THE GOAL, OBJECTIVES, AND STRATEGIES ARE IN PRACTICE IN THE STATE, THE TYPES OF ACTION REQUIRED FOR IMPLEMENTATION, AND THE AGENCIES RESPONSIBLE FOR SUCH ACTION ARE ALSO DISCUSSED. IN ADDITION, THE AREAS OF DIVERGENCE AMONG TASK FORCE MEMBERS (AS REPORTED ON 'EXCEPTION REPORTING FORMS') ARE DOCUMENTED.
