Abstract
THE PLAN RECOMMENDS THE PROCUREMENT OVER A PERIOD OF SEVERAL YEARS. INCLUDED ARE A TOTAL MONITORING SYSTEM EMPLOYING HELICOPTER, PORTABLE BACKPACK AND RELAY MICROWAVE TELEVISION LINKS, A METROPOLITAN POLICE DEPARTMENT MICROWAVE TELEVISION SYSTEM LINKING THE SEVEN DISTRICT HOUSES AND POLICE HEADQUARTERS, AND SURVEILLANCE AND SECURITY SYSTEMS. DESIGN SPECIFICATIONS OF THE SYSTEMS ARE ALSO INCLUDED IN THIS PLAN. SEVERAL OPTIONS DEALING WITH SPECIAL OPERATIONS DIVISION, TWO-WAY TELEVESION CAPABILITY, COMPUTER-AIDED INSTRUCTION SYSTEM FOR IN-SERVICE AND RECRUIT TRAINING, POSSIBLE ADDITION OF OTHER FACILITIES, AND A COLOR TELEVISION CAPABILITY ARE PRESENTED IN THIS PLAN.
