THIS REGIONAL POLICE MANPOWER ANALYSIS WAS CONDUCTED FOR AN IMPACT AREA POPULATION OF 153,900 ON 1,844 SQUARE MILES, SERVED BY 233 LAW ENFORCEMENT PERSONNEL (182 SWORN), AND IS DATED AUGUST, 1976.
Abstract
THIS ANALYSIS WAS UNDERTAKEN TO DETERMINE IF ADDITIONAL MANPOWER WILL BE NEEDED EITHER DURING OR AFTER THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE HARTSVILLE (TN) NUCLEAR GENERATING PLANT. RECOMMENDATIONS ARE MADE CONCERNING INFORMATION GATHERING NEEDS, GENERAL POLICING NEEDS, POLICING NEEDS RELATED TO TVA (TENNESSEE VALLEY AUTHORITY) IMPACT, AND FUNDING.
