Abstract
ALTHOUGH IT HAS BEEN DOCUMENTED THAT DRINKING DRIVERS CONSTITUTE A DANGER TO PUBLIC SAFETY, THIS TRAINING KEY OBSERVES THAT ENFORCEMENT ATTITUDES TOWARD DRIVERS WHO DRINK 'JUST A FEW' OFTEN TEND TOWARD LENIENCY. INFORMATION ON THE DANGERS THESE BORDERLINE, LOWER CONSUMPTION CASES MAY POSE IS PROVIDED TO PUT LAW ENFORCEMENT ATTITUDES ON THESE DRINKERS IN THE PROPER PERSPECTIVE. THE PHYSICAL EFFECTS OF VARYING LEVELS OF BLOOD ALCOHOL CONCENTRATION ARE OUTLINED, AND THE IMPACT OF THESE PHYSICAL EFFECTS ON DRIVING ABILITY ARE NOTED. THE KEY NOTES THAT THE PROBLEM DRINKER OR ALCOHOLIC CONSTITUTES THE MOST DANGEROUS GROUP OF DRINKING DRIVERS.
