THE FOUR TYPES OF SENS00ORS ARE- ULTRASONIC, PASSIVE EFIELD, PASSIVE INFRARED, AND ACTIVE INFRARED. IT WAS FUND THAT ALL ARE CAPABLE OF DETECTING INTRUDERS AND THAT THE SPATIAL DISCRIMINATION PROVIDED BY INFRARED SYSTEMS HAVING NARROW FIELDS OF VIEW PROVIDES THE BEST MEANS OF REJECTING FALSE ALARMS DUE TO BACKGROUND VARIATIONS AND PETS.
