A DESCRIPTION OF THE CLOSED CIRCUIT TELEVISION SYSTEM INSTALLED AT THE RCA PICTURE TUBE DIVISION HEADQUARTERS PLANT IN LANCASTER (PA).
Abstract
THE CLOSED CIRCUIT SYSTEM COMPRISES 15 COMPACT TELEVISION CAMERAS MOUNTED IN ENVIRONMENTAL HOUSINGS AND LOCATED ON THE PLANT'S PERIMETER AND AT MAIN TRAFFIC-FLOW POINTS SUCH AS EMPLOYEE ENTRANCES AND TRUCK GATES, PLUS FOUR VIDEO MONITORS LOCATED AT THE SECURITY CONTROL CENTER WITHIN THE PLANT'S MAIN BUILDING. IN CONJUNCTION WITH AN AUTOMATIC TURNSTILE AT THE PRIMARY EMPLOYEE ENTRANCE, THE TELEVISION SYSTEM PERMITS IMPROVED SECURITY TO BE HANDLED BY THREE GUARDS PER WORK SHIFT.
