RESULTS OF A STUDY TO APPRAISE THE PERFORMANCE OF JUDICIAL AND SUPPORTING PERSONNEL AS WELL AS TO REVIEW THE OVERALL OPERATION OF THE CIRCUIT COURT.
Abstract
ANOTHER PURPOSE OF THE STUDY WAS TO DETERMINE THE FACTORS CONTRIBUTING TO A GOOD (OR BAD) JUDICIAL PERFORMANCE WITH RESPECT TO VOLUME OF BACKLOG AND SPEED OF DISPOSITION OF CASES. PRIMARILY STUDIED WERE THE ATTITUDES OF JUDICIAL AND SUPPORTING STAFF PERSONNEL. THE RESULTS OF THE STUDY ARE THE PRODUCT OF ONSITE VISITS, WHICH INCLUDED INTERVIEWS, OBSERVATION OF COURT PROCEEDINGS AND CLERICAL OFFICE PROCEDURES, AND ANALYSIS OF AVAILABLE STATISTICAL INFORMATION. THE OVERALL CONCLUSION WAS THAT THE COURT IS OPERATED EFFICIENTLY, AND ITS STAFF KEEPS PENDING CASES TO AN IRREDUCIBLE MINIMUM. (AUTHOR ABSTRACT)...KAP
