Abstract
ORGANIZED CRIME IN THE STATE IS RELATIVELY SCANT AND HAS FOCUSED ON VENDING MACHINE OPERATIONS AND GAMBLING IN THE EASTERN PART OF THE STATE. THREE PANELISTS INCLUDING A STATE BUREAU OF INVESTIGATION POLICE OFFICER, A UNIVERSITY PROFESSOR, AND A SOCIOLOGIST PRESENT THEIR IDEAS ON THE SUBJECT, AND WHY IT DOES NOT RECEIVE THE SORT OF ATTENTION IT DESERVES.
