THE MYTHS AND FOLKLORE THAT HAVE OBSCURED THE REALITIES OF RAPE ARE EXAMINED. WHILE STATING THAT MORE EFFORT SHOULD BE SPENT TO HELP THE VICTIM, INCREASE POLICE EFFORTS, AND ENACT NEW LAWS, THE AUTHOR SEES A NEED FOR STUDIES THAT WILL PROVIDE MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THE MAN WHO DOES THE RAPING....BS
