DISCUSSION OF A PILOT PROJECT IN PHILADELPHIA THAT IS THE FIRST ATTEMPT AT TOTALLY COMPUTERIZING THE TRANSCRIPTION OF COURT STENOGRAPHERS' NOTES.
Abstract
AT PRESENT, THIS PROJECT IS SUCCESSFULLY SUPPORTING 15 COURT REPORTERS AND PLANS TO EXPAND TO INCLUDE THE TOTAL REPORTER STAFF. A TIME SAVINGS FACTOR OF WEEKS IS ANOTHER REASON FOR THE SUCCESS OF THIS PROJECT. TAPES CAN BE PROCESSED IN A MATTER OF HOURS, THUS ALLOWING MORE TIME FOR EDITING AND FINAL PRINTING.
