Abstract
THE BOOK FOCUSES ON VIOLENT CRIME STATISTICS IN CHICAGO, WHICH IT ADMITS ARE HIGHER THAN IN MOST OTHER CITIES. THE AUTHOR LISTS THE MEASURES OF CRIMINAL VIOLENCE, AND OFFERS SPECIAL ANALYTIC TECHNIQUES. FOCUS IS GIVEN TO THE 1965-74 DECADE FOR HOMICIDE AND ROBBERY RATES.
