Abstract
ON OCTOBER 7, 1969, THE MONTREAL POLICE STAGED A FULL STRIKE. THIS ARTICLE COMBINES STATISTICS ON THE RASH OF CRIMES THAT SWEPT THE CITY WITH PERSONAL ACCOUNTS OF A NUMBER OF THE CITY RESIDENTS IN ORDER TO PROVIDE A VIVID PICTURE OF THE STRIKE SITUATION.
