Abstract
THE RATIONALE AND COST BENEFIT OF THE FIRE AND INTRUSION DETECTION SYSTEMS ARE DISCUSSED. THE PROS AND CONS OF THE VARIOUS ALTERNATIVE SYSTEMS ARE PRESENTED AND REASONS ARE GIVEN FOR SELECTING THE ADOPTED SYSTEM.
