THIS SURVEY OF JUDICIAL SALARIES AS OF JULY 31, 1977, INCLUDES CHANGES SINCE THE APRIL 1977 SURVEY AND GIVES DATA ON SCHEDULED SALARY CHANGES, PENDING LEGISLATION, AND FLOATING SALARY SCHEDULES.
Abstract
SALARY FIGURES ARE COMPILED FOR EACH STATE, THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, PUERTO RICO, AND THE FEDERAL SYSTEM. PERSONAL INCOME DATA FOR EACH JURISDICTION ARE GIVEN FOR COMPARISON. TABLES LIST SALARIES FOR THE HIGHEST APPELLATE COURT, THE GENERAL TRIAL COURT, INTERMEDIATE APPELLATE COURT, AND COURTS OF LIMITED JURISDICTION (FAMILY, JUVENILE, AND DOMESTIC COURTS; PROBATE AND SURROGATE COURTS; JUSTICES OF THE PEACE; COUNTY COURTS; DISTRICT OR CIRCUIT COURTS; MUNICIPAL AND POLICE COURTS; AND COMMON PLEA COURTS). APPENDIXES GIVE SALARIES SCHEDULED TO CHANGE, PENDING LEGISLATION WHICH WOULD AFFECT SALARIES, AND A DESCRIPTION OF THE FLOATING SALARY SCHEDULE FOR EACH STATE WITH SUCH A SYSTEM.
