IN COMPLIANCE WITH DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE REGULATIONS APPLYING TO ALL CRIMINAL JUSTICE INFORMATION SYSTEMS FUNDED BY LEAA, THIS PLAN PRESENTS PROCEDURES ON PRIVACY AND SECURITY OF RECORDS.
Abstract
THE PLAN DESCRIBES ITS GOALS AND OBJECTIVES AND DISCUSSES THE CENTRAL STATE REPOSITORY. THE FIVE MAJOR AREAS OF THE REGULATIONS ADDRESSED IN THIS PLAN ARE: COMPLETENESS AND ACCURACY, LIMITS ON DISSEMINATION, AUDITS AND QUALITY CONTROL, SECURITY, AND INDIVIDUAL RIGHTS OF ACCESS AND REVIEW. OTHER SECTIONS DEAL WITH CERTIFICATIONS, SECURITY, AND IMPLEMENTATION MILESTONES. APPENDIXES INCLUDE A CONSENSUS OF INTERVIEWS CONCERNING PRIVACY AND SECURITY PROCEDURES, ARKANSAS STATE STATUTES 5-1101 TO 5-1115, REGULATIONS TO BE ISSUED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY APPLICABLE TO ALL CRIMINAL JUSTICE INFORMATION SYSTEMS TERMINAL AGENCIES, A DIRECTIVE ON INMATE RECORD REVIEW, MAP DEPICTING THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE AND HIGHWAY SAFETY INFORMATION SYSTEM TERMINAL NETWORK, AND FORMS FOR REVIEW OF CRIMINAL HISTORY INFORMATION.
