CHAPTERS DEAL WITH PHYSICAL SECURITY, DISCUSSING BOTH PERIMETER AND INTERNAL SECURITY, AND ADMINISTRATIVE-OPERATIONAL SECURITY, EXAMINING DEPARTMENTS AND ACTIVITIES SEPARATELY (E.G., PERSONNEL MATTERS, DIETARY DEPARTMENTS, PHARMACIES AND MEDICINE CLOSETS, PATIENT RECORDS, CONTROLLER, NURSING, ENGINEERING, OUTPATIENT DEPARTMENT, EMERGENCY ROOM, ETC.). ALSO DISCUSSED IN THE ORGANIZATION OF A PROTECTION DEPARTMENT, INCLUDING SIZE, STAFF, TRAINING, EQUIPMENT, RESPONSIBILITIES, POSTS, AND ASSIGNMENTS.
