Abstract
ALLOCATION OF THE RESPONSIBILITY FOR STAFF SELECTION IS DISCUSSED, AND A STAFF SELECTION FLOW CHART DETAILING THE ORDER AND RESPONSIBILITIES IN THE SELECTION PROCESS IS PRESENTED. KEY ELEMENTS IN DETERMINING THE STAFFING PATTERN (E.G., CHARACTER OF THE COMMUNITY, NATURE OF THE PROGRAM, BUDGET RESTRICTIONS, AFFIRMATIVE ACTION PLAN) ARE NOTED. GUIDELINES FOR DEVELOPING JOB DESCRIPTIONS ARE PRESENTED. QUALIFICATIONS FOR ADMINISTRATIVE, PROGRAM, AND CLERICAL STAFF ARE DISCUSSED, AS ARE PROCEDURES FOR POSTING JOB DESCRIPTION. THE APPLICANT-SCREENING PROCESS IS OUTLINED, AND MINIMAL RATING AND INTERVIEW RATING FORMS ARE DISCUSSED.
