SAMPLE LESSON PLANS AND WORKSHEETS FOR COURSES IN INTERVIEWING, PRACTICAL CASES, PROBLEM SOLVING, AND OPEN SESSION AND RESEARCH ARE PROVIDED. THE PRESENTENCE REPORT REFERENCE MANUAL DEALS WITH WRITING THE PRESENTENCE REPORT AND WORKING WITH OFFENDERS DURING THE REMAND PERIOD. SUGGESTIONS ARE OFFERED ON THE FIRST INTERVIEW, COLLATERAL INTERVIEWS, GUIDELINES FOR WRITING THE REPORT AND ITS SUBMISSION, AND TECHNIQUES FOR DEALING WITH OFFENDERS AND THEIR FAMILIES. THE MANUAL FOR WRITING PREDISPOSITIONS REPORTS OFFERS GUIDELINES FOR ASSISTANT PROBATION OFFICERS.
