Abstract
A CRIMINAL INTELLIGENCE FILE CONSIST OF STORED INFORMATION ON THE ACTIVITIES AND ASSOCIATIONS OF INDIVIDUALS AND GROUPS KNOWN OR SUSPECTED TO BE INVOLVED IN CRIMINAL ACTS OR IN THE THREATENING, PLANNING, ORGANIZING, OR FINANCING OF CRIMINAL ACTS. THE GUIDELINES SET THE CRITERIA FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A SOUND DATA BASE. THEY ALSO ESTABLISH CRITERIA FOR PURGING INFORMATION FROM THE FILE AND FOR MAINTAINING SECURITY.
