THIS SELF-INSTRUCTIONAL UNIT PROVIDES INFORMATION AND TESTING ON THE ROLE OF THE MARYLAND MOTOR VEHICLE ADMINISTRATION (MVA) IN LICENSING REGULATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS.
Abstract
UPON COMPLETING THE COURSE, THE STUDENT WILL KNOW THE MARYLAND DRIVER POINT SYSTEM, THE MVA'S AUTHORITY TO SUSPEND AND REVOKE LICENSES, THE ROLE OF THE HEARING OFFICER, THE NATURE AND FUNCTIONS OF THE MEDICAL ADVISORY BOARD HEARINGS, POINT SYSTEM HEARINGS, EXPRESS CONSENT HEARINGS, UNINSURED MOTORIST HEARINGS, AND REINSTATEMENT HEARINGS. SAMPLES OF FORMS USED IN THE IMPLEMENTATION OF VARIOUS PROCEDURES ARE PROVIDED. MULTIPLE CHOICE TESTS ARE USED TO CHECK THE STUDENT'S KNOWLEDGE OF THE MATERIAL PRESENTED. A PRETEST/ POSTTEST IS ALSO PROVIDED TO SHOW HOW MUCH KNOWLEDGE WAS GAINED FROM THE COURSE.
