THE INTERNAL ORGANIZATION AND THE WORKING TECHNIQUES OF THE RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT OFFICE FOR POLICE TECHNIQUES OF THE SENIOR COMMAND ACADEMY OF THE WEST GERMAN POLICE ARE DESCRIBED.
Abstract
THE NEW SECTION OF THE WEST GERMAN POLICE ACADEMY IS DIVIDED INTO FOUR BRANCHES: VEHICLE AND TRAFFIC TECHNIQUES; AIR AND WATER (AIRCRAFT AND BOAT) TECHNIQUES; TELECOMMUNICATIONS AND REGULATIONS; AUTOMATED DATA PROCESSING, CYBERNETICS, AND MATHEMATICAL EVALUATION AND WEAPONS AND EQUIPMENT TECHNIQUES. WITHIN THE POLICE ACADEMY, THIS OFFICE HAS THEORETICAL AND PRACTICAL TRAINING OBJECTIVES. GRADUATES WILL BE POLICE OFFICERS WHO ARE NOT ONLY SPECIALIZED IN POLICE INVESTIGATIONS, CRIMINALISTICS AND ALL ASPECTS OF LAW ENFORCEMENT, BUT ALSO ADMINISTRATORS, COMPUTER ANALYSTS, AND MANAGEMENT EXPERTS. THE MAIN EMPHASIS WILL NEVERTHELESS REMAIN ON ACTUAL POLICE WORK, WITH THE ADVANCED SPECIALTIES AS A PROFESSIONAL ADDITION. --IN GERMAN.
