Abstract
THIS BUREAU OF ALCOHOL, TOBACCO AND FIREARMS (ATF) GUIDE PICTURES OVER 50 WEAPONS INCLUDED IN THE FOLLOWING CATEGORIES OF HANDGUNS, SATURDAY NIGHT SPECIALS, LONG GUNS, NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT WEAPONS, EXPLOSIVE DEVICES, AMMUNITION, AND COLLECTORS' ITEMS AND ANTIQUES. IN ADDITION TO DETAILED DESCRIPTIONS, THE MANUFACTURER, AMMUNITION REQUIREMENTS, AND CIVILIAN/MILITARY EQUIVALENTS ARE GIVEN FOR EACH WEAPON. PROVISIONS OF THE FOLLOWING FEDERAL FIREARMS LAWS ARE GIVEN: (1) THE GUN CONTROL ACT (GCA) OF 1968, COVERING THE LICENSING OF PESONS ENGAGED IN THE FIREARMS BUSINESS, (2) THE NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT OF 1934 WHICH REGULATES THE MANUFACTURE, IMPORTATION, AND CONSTRUCTION OF GANGSTER-TYPE WEAPONS AND DESTRUCTIVE DEVICES AND, (3) THE OMNIBUS CRIME CONTROL AND PROHIBITS THE RECEIPT OF FIREARMS BY CERTAIN 'UNDESIRABLES.'
