Abstract
Example, problem, and solution frames follow the explanation of each new concept. In addition, a worksheet gives students more experience with the types of problems discussed. The worksheet may be duplicated for classroom use along with the program; answers to the program are included in the teacher's guide. The major topics considered in this program are (1) independent experiments or trials, (2) success or failure of events, (3) notation for the binomial distribution, (4) application of the binomial distribution, and (5) derivation of the binomial distribution. The frame number on which each topic begins is provided. Instructions for presentation and a script are also included. For complementary materials, see NCJ 72503-07. (Author abstract modified)
