The State's Task Force on Data and Information Systems prepared the directory as part of its effort to improve the quality, timeliness, completeness, and delivery of justice system information and data. Information on each system was collected through a questionnaire. The system descriptions are organized into the following sections: police agencies, Office of the Prosecuting Attorney, District Court, Circuit Court, State Court Administrator's Office, Department of Corrections, juvenile information, integrated systems, and Office of Criminal Justice. Each description identifies the agency, the name of the system, and also its status, purpose, content, and availability. Sources for further information are listed by address and telephone number. A subject index is included.
