This bibliography, the third in a series on juvenile delinquency, contains abstracts of publications that describe studies and programs on crime in schools. Entries cover subjects such as vandalism, violence, the role of police, decisionmaking, and the prevention of disorders.
Abstract
Most of the publications date from the early 1970's. Programs include the establishment of a sophisticated security system in the schools of Alexandria, Va; the work of two school police-court teams in the Lane County, Oreg., juvenile department; and the work of a New York community center program for the prevention of school dropouts. Subjects of the research programs included in the bibliography include school fires, school vandalism, crime and disorder in schools, and the identification of juveniles with high crime potential.
