Abstract
The lesson defines assault according to the Penal Code, Section 240; explains the corpus delicti elements for assault; identifies the relationships of motive with a corpus delicti and with the investigative process; describes the basic relationship between civil assault and criminal assault liability; and lists seven common factors to investigate in assault calls. The filmstrip and cassette instruct the officer when to use the workbook and how to check the answers. The workbook includes instructor's answer keys to a posttest.
