Abstract
Tables contain information on personal background characteristics, present offense, paroled persons, and criminal history of admissions from the courts to MCI-Walpole, Concord, and Framingham correctional facilities. The first set of tables focuses on race, sex, marital status, military discharge, occupation, and related information. Other tables present data on drug use, time until first parole eligibility date, present offense, other offense, and total number of court appearances. Additional tables give statistics on the number of charges for different kinds of offenses, prior incarcerations, and parole records. The tables were derived from the computerized data base that the Correction and Parole Management Information System developed. The Research Unit of the Department of Correction used the Massachusetts State College Computer Network to produce the report. A glossary of terms and an explanation of the tables are included.
