Abstract
Data tables provide information on criminal and traffic violations, arrests, social conditions of persons arrested, and actual Index crime offenses and clearance rates from 1974 to 1980. Other tables are concerned with an analysis of stolen property, a summary of receipts, a traffic accident analysis, incident calls, personnel, and training activities. Brief reports on the Youth and Community Services Bureau and the Training and Personnel Division are provided, and 1980 expenditures are reviewed. During the year, the police successfully broke up an auto theft ring, developed the 'Crime Stopper' program for operation in 1981, cooperated with local clergy regarding juvenile prostitutes, and protected political candidates during the election year.
