Current research projects on criminal justice concerns in member and nonmember States of the Council of Europe are outlined. Project summaries are written in either French or English and are given by country.
Abstract
The research projects address crime prevention measures, offender rehabilitation, the use of probation, the treatment of young offenders, and other criminal justice issues. For each project, the title of the research, a summary account, and the name of the individual or organization undertaking the research are mentioned. Also identified are the persons engaged in the research, the correspondent, the sponsoring and cooperating organizations, and the organization giving financial support. Each project's starting date, expected date of completion, and publications (if applicable) are listed. Further information on certain projects reported in the previous bulletins is appended. The contributing member States include Belgium, Denmark, France, West Germany, Greece, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. Nonmember States with projects listed are Finland and Israel. Indexes by subject, type of research, and country are provided.
