The guide has been prepared for the specific use of local law enforcement officials. There are 32 laboratories represented, 42 subject areas, and 208 individual items. The nature of the possible support includes publications, consultant expertise, training courses, technical data and information, and loan of specialized equipment. It is hped that use of this guide will help to open productive channels of communication between the Federal labs with their available resources and local law enforcement officials. The user can call the person listed under the item in which the user is interested, or, in the event of a problem, the technology transfer representative of the laboratory identified in a section of the catalog.
