The year 1980 witnessed a slight upward trend in facility admissions in contrast to 1979, thus reversing a 3-year trend of declining facility admissions.
Abstract
New admissions to residential programs rose to 1,666, a 1-percent increase over 1979. Overall residential program trends known to the division increased 3.6 percent. A followup analysis of 203 cases under assessment indicated that 115 were ultimately admitted to the division's residential programs in 1980, 45 were discharged, and 43 remained under assessment at year's end.
