Personnel matters, budget information, and reports from the various police divisions (uniform, investigative, administrative, vice, and services) are provided. Data are given on crime costs, adult and juvenile arrests, and traffic offenses. In 1981, the department implemented the 911 emergency telephone number program, computerized the police/sheriff property section, and implemented a psychological testing program for police officer applicants. It also reorganized both uniform and investigative divisions, created an internal affairs/inspection position, and reviewed department manuals. Data tables are supplied.
