The publication begins with an overview of studies completed/initiated in 1980, emphasizing that much of the Center's work carries on from 1 year into the next. Studies to be undertaken or continued in 1981 are subcategorized under the following major headings: justice administration, policy, crime trends, legislation, corrections, and other projects. Brief descriptions of the goals and current status of each project are given. Appended is a listing of 38 publications that have appeared between October 1979 and October 1980 and a listing of studies currently being done by others but reported to the center.
