Abstract
The first segment depicts the actual commission of the crime, a double murder and robbery. The rest of the film provides a series of training points as the officers receive the call to respond, arrive, and enter the crime scene. The officers' actions demonstrate the fundamental procedures by their department in the approach, entry, and preliminary investigation of a major crime. The movie illustrates the fundamental skills of the preliminary investigation, such as officer survival skills, aid to victims (if alive), crime scene protection, and observation and protection of evidence. Besides the film, the kit includes a leader's guide, 80 color slides and accompanying script, and a binder.
