Abstract
Listings include national, regional, and local armored car carriers and vehicle manufacturers; central alarm station companies and national telephone alarm services; consultants and document examiners; and guard and patrol services. Also noted are dealers and distributors of security products, polygraph and preemployment screening services, investigators, and risk management and insurance services. Under security products and systems, the book lists companies dealing in access control and identification systems, alarm and detection systems and equipment, fire and emergency services, emergency power sources, communications equipment, cameras, and other equipment. A listing of specialized products and services is devoted to security in museums, banks, computers and computer-related programs/products, residences, businesses, and colleges; as well as security training programs and resources. The final section gives practical security information, such as a calendar of security conventions in 1983-84, current crime statistics, and security publications and standards. An index is supplied.
