Abstract
The introduction notes that this bibliography was developed as a part of a study of the factors that influence the retention, tenure, retirement, and resignation of police patrol officers in Texas cities with populations greater than 25,000. Each of the cities studied had experienced a staffing problem due to the early retirement or resignation of patrol officers.
