Offense data is presented by Index offenses while arrest data is categorized according to violent crime, property crime, drug arrests, and gambling arrests. In addition to presenting the number of law enforcement employees in various types of agencies statewide, information is also provided on officers killed and assaulted in 1982. A separate section is devoted to arrest data for the Department of Natural Resources; special attention is also given to information on arson and domestic violence.
