Abstract
Data cover the Index offenses of violent crime in general, murder, forcible rape, robbery, aggravated assault, property crime, burglary, larceny, and arson. Index crime projections are also presented for 1983. Information on property crime covers property value stolen and recovered by month and type, stolen by type and month, and stolen by offense. Average property loss by offense is also reported as is the value of property stolen and recovered by county. The appendix contains a glossary of terms and abbreviations.
