A women's center which operates a shelter for battered women gives its justification for initiating a group for wifebeaters.
Abstract
The model and subjects are described. Suggestions for subsequent efforts are given. Of 30 men inquiring about the group for themselves, 29 were separated from their wives due to a violent episode. Their goal was to reunite. Men who were still with their wives did not seek out this service. The conclusion reached was that men who are still with their wives do not view their wifebeating as a problem. (Author abstract)
