A total of 395 bibliographic listings (annotated) deal with various aspects of restitution (monetary and community service) for both adults and juveniles.
Abstract
Each document is classified by type of restitution, type of article, population, and view of victim-offender interaction. Type of restitution includes a combination of monetary and community service as well as only monetary and only community service. Articles are classified according to the following types: program description, conceptual, historical, cross-cultural, and various types of research (formative evaluation, outcome evaluation, public opinion and attitudes, legal, other social science, and studies of use). Some listings are typed as general summaries. The following indexes assist in locating items by subject matter: (1) publications focusing on the use of restitution with adults, (2) publications dealing with restitution with juveniles, and (3) position regarding victim-offender contacts as part of the restitution program.
