A number of presentations discuss the various procedures involved in making and successfully completing a trade, including contract compliance and contract-term pitfalls, trading practices that avoid disputes, billing instructions that ensure contract performance, ways to improve settlement procedures, transportation changes affecting grain merchants, and avoidance of foreign substances or quality problems. Another section of papers is devoted to what to do if a trade dispute arises and cannot be resolved by the parties directly involved. This includes an examination of the arbitration system of the National Grain and Feed Association.
