Abstract
After listing and portraying on a map the various communities of St. Tammany Parish involved in neighborhood watch, job descriptions are presented for the coordinator and the block captain, including listings of responsibilities and active duties. The by-laws for neighborhood watch encompass organization purpose, mmembership and dues, officers and their duties, duties of directors, the executive board, and permanent committees. Suspicious neighborhood activities are briefly described to help neighborhood watch participants prevent and detect crimes. Suggested fund raising programs used in St. Tammany Parish are rummage-garage-yard sales, baseball-softball games and trounaments, bingo games, personal contributors, and company-civic contributors. Some information is provided on drug law enforcement in St. Tammany Parish and some possible symptoms of substance abuse. Safety rules for preventing residential fires listed, followed by information on mosquitoes and mosquito control.
