This bibliography contains over 450 citations compiled by the Capital Punishment Project at the University of Florida.
Abstract
Citations are presented in four general subject divisions. The section on general and historical information is divided into worldwide, England, America, and Florida subsections. Section 2 covers the issues of racism, deterrence, clemency, death row confinement, public opinion, effects and methods of execution, and other areas of controversy. Section 3, on legal issues provides citations to lead cases of interest to general readers. The final section lists publications arguing for/against capital punishment on moral and religious grounds. Citations were published between 1889 and 1984.
