To date, most organizations have not faced the realities of network security, a complex problem with a large number of interrelated issues. To attack this problem, four design strategies for network security are described.
Abstract
Specification and implementation of controls are often difficult due to the wide variety of systems, organizational interfaces, and the growing number of threats. However, the solutions to network security are not radically different from more traditional computer security; they just require additional skills and resources. (Publisher abstract)
