During this period there were 18 cases including 6 natural deaths, 2 traffic fatalities, 1 accidental gunshot death, 1 suicide, 6 homicides, and 2 telephone review cases. In addition, there were three cases to be processed from the previous day. The report details all facets of case processing from receipt of the body, photographing, autopsy, and evidence collection and analysis, through determination of the cause of death and disposal of the body. Also elucidated are the working relationships between the department and local police agencies, lawyers, hospitals, Federal and State agencies, funeral homes, insurance companies, relatives of victims, and other individuals and groups in the public and private sector. Included is followup information on the cases, an index of cases, a list of employees and their titles, and a copy of the Florida Medical Examiners Act.
