Are data available showing the prevalence of children being exposed to violence?
The Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) resource, Children’s Exposure to Violence: A Comprehensive National Survey contains data on the prevalence of children who have been exposed to violence. You can view the National Survey of Children's Exposure to Violence Series on the OJJDP Web site. To learn more about the prevalence and prevention of children being exposed to violent activities, as well as the treatment of those who have already experienced such exposure, see NCJRS's Children Exposed to Violence Special Feature, which contains publications and resources on the topic.
