Abstract
Articles describe skinhead and other neo-Nazi groups' philosophy, beliefs, recruitment efforts among students and other youth, and activities. Links between neo-Nazi youth gangs, other adult white supremacist groups, such as the Ku Klux Klan, and other youth gangs are described. Public reactions to the terroristic threats and violent crimes of such youth gangs are included. The combination of racism, hate, and violence with punk music is discussed in articles chronicling the evolution and increasing threat posed by skinheads. The skinhead subculture is further illustrated in a case study of a youth gang in San Francisco. Other articles describe skinhead involvement in intimidation, assault, murder, and other racially motivated violence. Two articles from the Aryan youth movement describe a 'fascist New Year's gig' and illustrate campus recruitment efforts. Additional articles decry the growing racism on campuses. A final article criticizes 'Junior Scholastic' for whitewashing the Klan's activities and its ultimate goals of terrorism and genocide.
